Pho Real, Halloween Rocked

Thursday started out with a banana. I had an early morning meeting, and was rushing to get out the door. Lunch was Pho (my favorite!), and dinner was a quick Progresso Lentil soup just before trick or treat! I did stop at a juice bar after my run for a green infusion of yumminess.

Friday was another banana for breakfast. I had to leave before everyone was up, and didn't want the Vitamix to wake everyone. I snagged a bagel at the office during my ridiculously early morning meeting.

Lunch was a less than stellar falafel from a Mediterranean place near my office, and dinner was veggie sushi (hibatchi for everyone else) and some edamame.

I went for a run down near the Oceanfront on Thursday afternoon. It was a spectacularly warm day, and I figure it'll be the last beach front run for awhile, and it's not THAT far from work, so why not?

I was watching the bulldozers on the beach moving sand about to set up for the Christmas lights display they always do. It was pretty neat.

Meet my running buddy – King Neptune.

Well, crazy busy as always. I probably wouldn't know what to do if life slowed down too much! Thursday was Halloween, so after work and runs, it was time to get ready to walk the streets in search of sweet treats!

Where we live, trick or treat is always Halloween night, so as we waited I showered and whipped up a batch of pumpkin cupcakes. M was in charge of handing out the candy while D and I took R around for fun.

Here's the funny thing. R doesn't eat candy. With her nut allergies, she just stays away from all of it, so her entire bounty has to be removed from the house – usually in the form of D taking to work. Doesn't matter, she has fun anyway.

Her costume was a character from the game Minecraft. It was funny how many people who saw her actually knew what she was. Yay for 8-bit game characters!

We got home, finished handing out candy, and played a game of Sorry! Where R won. As usual.

The rest of this weekend is a whirlwind. A quick trip to Northern Virginia, and then R and I are off to the Shenandoah mountains to do some hiking on Sunday, while the boys do their own thing. Hopefully the pics from hiking will be stunning when I write later!

Have a happy weekend!
